Suave Birthday Card, Picture Perfect Birthday from Stampin' Up!

Image
These are cards I have made this week for various challenges.  I'll be posting them to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. For the top "Sahara Sand" card, I used a die cut that was in my stash and followed the sketch to create the card.  I used some stitching stamps from BoBunny which I got from Amazon.  I tried sewing and so far this has not worked well for me.  So until it does, I'll be stamping my stitching.  The "happy birthday" sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Picture Perfect Birthday.  The "jagged" rectangles dies came from Aliexpress.

Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, and Navy...

This card is for a few challenges.  I also filmed it, so when I get that video made I'll include a link. I would love to win that $50 gift certificate at Simon Says Stamp.  But oh well, I went ahead and placed my order and got me a few crafty goodies!  Can't wait to get those.  They sell Nuvo drops for just $2.99.  I picked up some white but it seems my drops are going flat and I don't know why. Update:  I still haven't got the video made.  But this did win at SplitcoastStampers Color Challenge!  I'm honored.

Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, and Daffodil Delight with Picture Perfect Birthday from Stampin' Up!

I created this card for the Inspire. Create.  Stamping Challenge, as pictured above.  This challenge can be found here:  http://inspirecreatechallenges.blogspot.com/ I was glad to use this yellow  DSP.  In the past I have tended to hoard my prettiest papers so now I have piles and piles!  I have decided to stop doing that and use the beautiful paper instead. LOL. So I layered that on Bermuda Bay.  And I did use all Stampin' Up! products for this card, Yay!  I did ink the edges with Daffodil Delight and maybe a darker ink would have looked better but I could not decide which color.  I use Sahara Sand a lot for edges, but sometimes it just makes the paper look dirty, so I stopped with the Daffodil Delight.  The thick twine is Melon Mambo (recently in the clearance rack) and I used Whisper White twine to tie the button.  The button is a gold metal button from Stampin' Up! and is no longer available.  I die cut the DSP using the die from Petal Palette and then I inlaid the p

Hearts and More Hearts...

I hope I can get all my valentine's sent out!  Thanks for looking.  The heart is die cut using Berry Burst cardstock.  The patterned paper is from an Recollections old paper pad (Burgundy Rose I think), its pretty close to Powder Pink.  The stamp and heart dies came from Aliexpress. The button is Stampin' Up! and the gold twine was something I had (origin unknown).  I did ink the edges of the paper and the rough edge panel is from a rectangle die set that I got from Aliexpress. I went back in and added two more eyelets and I a little black layer under the sentiment and I think that looks better.  I really like this card!

Tim Holtz Stamp and Stencil Set Postal with a Harlequin Stencil

I was having some creative fun with this Tim Holtz stamp and stencil set.  I got several of these Tim Holtz stamp and stencil sets for a great price so I'm going to be playing around with the other ones as well.  I used Wild Honey and Vintage Photo distress inks to get this aged look and I enjoyed this combination.  More information can be found in the video (I'll add the link after I get it uploaded). Here is the product on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CM094DY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
