Stampin' Up! Hold on to Hope and Cross of Hope Framelits

I've been playing around with the Stampin' Up! Hold on to Hope bundle today.  Its super cute.  For the pink card, I tried the "stamping off" technique to add interest to the background.  Basically its just random second and third generation stamping to create an interesting background.  I think it worked well with the cross.  For the base layer, I used Flirty Flamingo.  I colorwashed that onto white cardstock.  I stamped the cross and sentiment in Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink by Ranger.  All the flowers were made using the Blossom Builder Paper Punch (retired) (I plan on making me up a flower stash this month).  The centers are black gems I had picked up locally at Michael's. I used Daffodil Delight on the yellow card.  I colorwashed the ink  onto white cardstock and let that dry.  I cut the panel to size and then used a border die to get the decorative edge.  I stamped the flourish twice using Daffodil Delight.  Then I took a 1" square

Pink & Navy Floral "Junk" Journal

YouTube video flip through:  https://youtu.be/XwRFBwupsVg I learned how to make these chipboard journals from youtube, and they are called "junk journals".  I didn't really use junk in this one, so maybe I'll just call it a journal.  This one is for my sister, they generally take 3 to4 days to complete. It still needs a few more finishing touches I think, the cover is a little plain.  I need to iron the wide, white grosgrain ribbon.  And since I have a ton of beads and charms, I'm going to make a book charm for it also. I used a paper pad called, "Blue Blooms" (December 2017), so its still available right now and its so cute.  I really like this paper pad.  On the cover I used two papers that I had purchased separately.  The double sided floral/gingham is by My Mind's Eye and I believe it is no longer available.  I have had this for a few years, originally purchased at Hobby Lobby on clearance and the other cover p

Its been two weeks since I made a card!  Had some other things going on...  I've got to start getting my house in order (LOL).  But it needs to warm up a little.  Until then, I'll be designing cards. I made this card using the January 2018 Viva La Verve Sketch.  I am entering it into the Simon Says Stamp "Winter Blues" Challenge as well. I used a patterned paper which has been in my stash for years.  I believe it was Graphic 45 but I am not sure, its double sided.  I did not like the "branch" element too much so I photographed my creation with and without it.  I cut the top layer from the bottom layer using a stitched layering rectangle die set so the stripes would line up. For the greeting,  I used the new bundle from Stampin' Up!, Cross of Hope.  The white circle and scallop came from a card die set I purchased from Michael's by Stephanie Bernard.  I use these all the time, they are so cute.  I die cut the stitched fish tail banners f
