#Mojo Monday Sketch 507

Image
#mojosketch507 For this quick card I followed the Mojo Monday 507 sketch .  All of this paper came from a 12 x 12 paper pad called "Uptown Chic" which I got from Michael's in 2018.  I don't think it is available anymore but the papers are amazing!  I just cut all these elements and layered on black cardstock - viola!  I loosely followed the sketch - the strip of hearts is not quite 2"!  Finally, I also took the sentiment from the paper pad.  Adore today.

MOJO Monday Sketch 506

For this card I followed the Mojo Monday Sketch 506 .  I used Stampin' Up's Bottles & Bubbles dies and Stampin' Up's Bubble Over DSP which was a Sale-A-Bration item in 2018 and super cute!  I am a paper hoarder and sometimes find it difficult to cut the papers, but I'm coming around.  I took advantage of Stampin Up's current Demonstrator offer which gets you $175 worth of product for only $99.  Shipping is Free!  I loaded up on papers!   So all the papers, the bottle, and the caps, came from the same paper set.  I used Fresh Fig linen ribbon under the bottle and I added some dew drops to accent.  Don't you think it is so hard to place these little dew drops?  I think I did OK with this card, but often I find it don't look quite right.   Other people don't seem to have that problem.  Anyway, I added two 1/8" eyelets in black to balance off the card.  For the sentiment I used a Paper Pumpkin Stamp (I think February 2018, but not

Link to Poetic Artistry Blog I actually missed posting this to the blog, but decided to post it here.  A new sketch began today so I hope I can make something for that one.   I have been unwell most of this year, so hopefully I can get some sort of diagnosis soon.  I have been feeling a little better.  But I have not made videos or posted to this blog. I believe this sketch was 505, I'm not sure.  But I used two papers which I have had for awhile.  The mini polka dots paper is from Hobby Lobby.  I used a pierced rectangle die, a stitched banner die, a wonky circle die, plus a Love die which came from Aliexpress.  I modified it just a little (removed the original heart and added a button).  The base layer is kraft paper.  I played up the right banner a little by adding layering banners and a ribbon, then some kraft twine.

Viva La Verve April 2018 Sketch

This is such a beautiful sketch!  I chose to keep the square the same as the base layer but I added an eyelet to the upper right corner.  I used the super cute and fun Stampin' Up! Bubble Over DSP, lemon lime twist cardstock and white cardstock.  I embossed the sentiment from Stapmin' Up! Picture Perfect and I'm down to the bottom of my jar and so that is why its bumpy as opposed to smooth so time to throw that out.  I can't find my other set of circle dies so until I do, I will have to use these wonky stitched circles.  I cut and layered various sizes because I usually layer my cards heavily!  For finishing touches, I added enamel dots and a lime green button plus a striped star and adhered looped, white bakers twine beneath the largest circle.  Thanks for taking a peek! I am also including this in the.   Inspire. Create Challenge #015 .  I created this for a male so I think it meets the criteria.

Stampin' Up Thoughtful Banners Mother's Day Card

Image
I used Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Banners to create this unique Mother's Day card for my mother.  For the background I used cream cardstock and inked up Tim Holtz "Roses" embossing folder with black Versafine Ink (make sure you have a strong cleaner like Blue Wolf to clean up the embossing folder, Versafine is permenant).  I have found that the distress inks contain too much water and do not do well with embossing folders, but other inks (Stampin' Up!)  work really well.  If you look closely, I did get  some black ink on the embossed part, its difficult not to.  But if you apply the ink with a brayer, it reduces this.  I added an assortment of embellishments, including the flower which I die cut using Stampin' Up! Botanical Builder thinlets.  I embossed the sentiment and die cut that with a circle and cut an additional black circle and cream scallop and adhered two little wooden hearts.  Finally I added some ribbon (purchased locally at Michael's)  I ac

The colors are Rich Razzleberry, Garden Green, and Sweet Sugarplum.  I substituted Berry Burst for Rich Razzleberry, and Cucumber Crush for Garden Green. I used similar elements on both cards.  The embossing folder that I used came from Aliexpress.  It does not have a name but looks like a radiating flower.  I embossed Berry Burst cardstock but I brayered the embossing folder with Berry Burst Ink to darken the background portion of the card.  For the second card I used the embossing folder on the background.  These Aliexpress embossing folders work perfectly fine and are A2 sized, most cost $1 or so.  I used Cucumber Crush DSP, the same pattern on both cards.  I used elements from the December Paper Pumpkin - the sentiment from the second card and the awesome seam binding ribbon on the first card.  Finally I incorporated "Sweet Sugarplum" using plain cardstock.  I cut the cardstock into pierced circles on the second card and layered those on the card and I cut a tr

February 2018 Paper Pumpkin Unboxing and Alternative Projects

Image
Happy Birthday to me! Today is my birthday and I received a sweet gift of 132 Prismacolor Premier pencils!  I may post those if I can find the time. Here is my Paper Pumpkin Alternative showcase for this month (Lol).  I put these together fairly quickly and still have lots of kit to spare!  My favorite item was the linen thread, so glad to add that to my growing collection.  I am currently a demonstrator but I'm not sure I will be after March, I may not have enough sales to remain a demonstrator.  However, I love Stampin' Up! products and I do plan to continue my Paper Pumpkin subscription for now, so I'll post my monthly projects.  I have two videos for these cards you can view them below.  TFL. I just saw my Paper Pumpkin unboxing video had 52 likes!  To see this video:  https://youtu.be/DLlxibr2pA8 My second video is uploading so I'll update the post once that video is live.
